[paramiko] paramiko stops responding after huge data is transferred !

Robey: Does paramiko have a defined lock hierarchy?  Could you describe the 
order that the various locks are acquired?  I'm attempting to trace how locks 
are acquired right now, but it would be helpful to find out what the code is 
_supposed_ to be doing.
